96/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications) Responsible for receiving and processing patient specimens for diagnostic testing
Responsibilities:
Role Specific Responsibilities Registers outpatients and/or specimens received from outside customers, as necessary.
Collects and processes specimens.
Identifies and labels all specimens according to hospital and laboratory policy.
Assists with reception and front office duties as necessary.
Distributes laboratory reports according to current guidelines.
Maintains equipment and stocking of supplies Prepares specimens for send out to reference laboratory Performs the duties of the Laboratory/Pathology Representative and Front Office Staff.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
